The Chapel Hill Warriors was formed in the Winter of 2012 by several young rugby players and curious athletes. With high quality rugby at the high school (Chapel Hill Highlanders) and college (UNC) levels, there was no shortage of talented rugby players in their post-college years. Formed by coach Robert King along with the aid of the interested players, The Chapel Hill Warriors Rugby Club was founded with one goal in mind: to play winning rugby.
Over the next few years, the Chapel Hill Warriors hope to establish themselves as a contender for the Division III National Championship as well as a host to some of the East Coast’s premier 7s and 15s tournaments. The Warriors will also strive to become a club that truly reflects the town of Chapel Hill’s class, commitment to excellence, and charity.
